Week 2 EOC: Boston Consulting Group - Video Games
In my opinion, I believe that when it comes to different consoles and
the way they rank all depends on the way the consumer views it. When it
comes to Mobile, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Wii they have different
positive and negative results. In the star section would have to be the
mobile phone apps and games. They are so easily downloadable,
affordable, and portable they seem close to perfect for the gamer on the
go or anyone looking to waste some time waiting in line. PlayStation 3
would have to be in the cow section because although it is be loved and
their are many loyal PlayStation consumers, they can only tweak the
console itself so many times before it becomes a nuisance. They have
gone as far as they are going to go and there might be a high rise in
profit but it will fizzle out in a short period of time. As for the Xbox
360 I think this console would fall into the question mark category.
I'm torn in the middle over this one because I know many people love the
Xbox for how convenient it is. It can play DVDs, you can surf the
internet, use your Netflix account, and play or join games with other
online friends. I feel like it does everything-video game wise-it can do
already. There has been talk of the Xbox being used for medical
reasons, if it goes that route I think it would make a huge comeback. We
wont see it on the selves of Wal-Mart, but at our doctors offices
instead. "While he wants to buy "The Beatles: Rockband" game, which will
go for $250 with accessories, he said he "can't afford to buy it until I
get a job." (http://online.wsj.com/article/SB124865158612682399.html)
Last and most likely the least console with a chance of survival, the
Wii. It falls into the dog category. I personally own one, that was
previously my little brothers who gave it to me because he was bored of
it. I don't use it for anything besides logging into my Netflix account.
If it wasn't capable of that, it would probably be sitting in the
garage, collecting dust.

Week 1 EOC: Great Customer Service
Many people are most likely to tell a friend of a time when they received
bad customer service, rather than a time they received great customer service.
Fortunately, this post is about a positive customer experience. I was having
a horrible day and decided to go to the mall to get out of my slump. I walked
around inside and bumped into a store named Sephora located inside a department
store, JC Penny. Once I got there I became mesmerized by the amount of beauty
supplies. Everything I could ever need surrounded me. Make up brushes, endless eye
shadows, different face primers, skin care products, blush, etc. I can go on
and on, but what I gravitated towards was the make up brushes. I was gazing at
a stippling brush when an associate walked over and said “Welcome to Sephora,
my name is Jessica. Are you looking for anything in particular?” I answered, “I’m just looking around but I am
trying to find a good foundation brush.” She replied “Oh I see your looking at
our professional stippling brush. I use that and I really
love it! It is very soft on the face and creates an airbrushed sort of look
when applying foundation. You can use it for a light coverage or build it up.” "... Companies share a passion for understanding and satisfying
customer needs in well-defined target markets. They motivate everyone in
the organization to help build lasting customer relationships based on
creating value." (Marketing: An Introduction, pg.4) I felt like I was talking to one of my girlfriends. I confessed
to Jess, “I really want to try it because I've heard some great reviews, but I’m
scared that if it’s not for me I’ll be stuck with it.” She smiled and said “If
you don’t like it you can return it, we won’t stick you with it. Experiment
with it and if you’re not happy with it then come back with the receipt and return
it.” She was very professional and made
me feel comfortable when I spoke with her about my concerns. I wanted to hug her and
say thank you! After a short conversation I was sold, and made my way over to purchase my new favorite foundation brush.

Week 1 EOC: My Voice
All my life I had an inkling that I would end up choosing a career where I would immerse myself in sound every day. Although multi fascinated in other creative directions I know Audio Production is the right fit for me. Throughout my life I’ve felt that sound is my main form of expression and how I project the dream world inside my head. There’s a beauty that is indescribable about sound and I believe that's why I love to sing and perform. Knowing how to build sounds, tear them apart, mix them, master them, would make me feel as if I have the world in my hands. It's an overpowering feeling. I don’t think I’ve ever met anyone who said they dislike all music. I like the feeling of helping others, and I think though music one can almost control a persons emotions. It becomes a therapy, you just feel it and go with it. I want to strengthen my skills, better myself every day and be able to make a living doing what I love. The biggest goal I have for myself is to open a recording studio as a business. Along with that, I would make my own music, produce it and become a selling artist. I have big dreams for myself but I would also love to open the studio to help others reach theirs.
